Pike Place Market


Located at 1531 Western Avenue Seattle, WA 98101, the Pike Place Market is one of the oldest continually operating farmers market in the nation, this colorful market boasts a splendid array of seafood and produce stalls, restaurants, crafts and international foods.
Pike Place Market is a farmers' market and is home to nearly 200 year-round commercial businesses; 190 craftspeople and 120 farmers who rent table space by the day; 240 street performers and musicians; and 300 apartment units, most of which house low-income elderly people. "The Market," as the locals affectionately say, attracts 10 million visitors a year, making it one of Washington's most frequently visited destinations.
One of the famous sites in Pike Place is the very first Starbucks which was made in 1971, and could be seen on 7th & Pike,Elliott Hotel (1524 7th Ave Seattle, WA 98101) Since Pike Place Market is a historic area, this Starbucks still has its original look.
