4th of July

Though this year the 4th of July was on a Wednesday.. it's never too early to plan for next year. If you are planning to visit Seattle next year, visit during the first week of July. The weather before then is rainy, but afterwards it warms up. Plus the 4th of July fireworks at Seattle and Bellevue are amazing.

Seattle's event is held at Gaswork Park, on Lake Union. There are many events around the lake before the firework show. The great thing about watching the firework show at Seattle is that you can watch it on the lake!! Of course you need to know someone who owns a boat... nonetheless watching it on the grass is good too!

If you plan to cross the bridge eastwards towards Bellevue is going to be the Eastside's 4th of July celebration. The Symetra Bellevue Family 4th of July event is the largest celebration on the Eastside located in the heart of the Bellevue downtown area. There are tons of family activities before the firework show. Sadly you can't watch it on the lake, but the show itself is spectacular. During the fireworks the Bellevue Youth Symphony does a live musical performance.

If you are still uncertain about next year's summer plans look no further! Come visit the beautiful Seattle area for your 4th of July vacation. Come see the fireworks at either Seattle or Bellevue... if you have enough time then both! Don't forget to bring your camera and maybe an umbrella! You may never know....

Spring is finally here!

With spring finally in the Washington air, many could not resist the beautiful cherry blossoms blooming! It is truly a beautiful sight! With more than half the year filled with gray rainy days, seeing a little pink/purple is something to cherish.

The best place to view these cherry blossoms is none other than the University of Washington, Seattle. Yes, you can see cherry blossoms else where in the Seattle area, yet the UW Seattle has beautifully arranged these plants to truly display their natural beauty.

Save the date on your calender to visit Seattle during the spring time! Less rain, warmer weather, and a beautiful scenery is the best reason to visit Seattle!

Redmond, WA

Redmond is located 25 minutes east of Seattle. This little town is home to Microsoft and Nintendo America. Though it is not as big as Seattle or a popular hangout spot like Bellevue, Redmond offers quiet and mild relaxation.
For starters, Microsoft has a free admissions visitor center where you can explore exhibits about the latest Microsoft research to the first home computer!

After visiting the visitor center, many head towards the downtown area to roam around the mall. The Redmond Town Center, is a small outdoor mall. The mall has stores such as apparels, electronics, toys, and so forth. There are also some unique food shops!

There is also a Farmers market on Saturdays at the Town Center. This market is the oldest Famers market in the Eastside of Seattle!

A visit to Redmond may not take as long as 2 days, but it is worth to explore the Greater Eastside of Seattle!
